DEVOTEE SENDS DAYANA AND MARUA FROM BANGALORE FOR MAHAPRABHU’S DAYANA CHORI NITI.SUB HEADING- IT IS DIFFICULT FOR THESE PLANTS WHICH ARE VERY DEAR TO THE LORD, TO GROW AND SURVIVE IN THE CURRENT WEATHER CONDITIONS OF ODISHA.

A devout follower from Bangalore has sent Dayana and Marua plants for Lord Mahaprabhu’s Dayana Chori ritual. These plants, beloved by the deity, struggle to thrive in Odisha’s harsh weather conditions. Dayana, akin to Tulsi, holds significance in Jagannath Temple rituals. During the festival, representations of Baladev and Jagannath, known as Rama and Krishna, discreetly gather Dayana leaves from Indra’s Nadana garden. This event, also called Damanaka Chaturdasi, unfolds at Jagananth Ballabha Math. The gesture underscores the challenges faced by these revered plants in sustaining themselves amidst Odisha’s climate.
