COMMISSIONERATE POLICE INTRODUCES ‘TEAM HER’ FOR ENHANCED SAFETY OF WOMEN IN BHUBANESWAR AND CUTTACK

Commissionerate Police in Odisha’s Bhubaneswar and Cuttack has launched a proactive initiative, forming Team HER (High Efficiency Response) to ensure the safety of women and girls. Led by Additional Commissioner of Police Anjana Tudu, the team operates around the clock, swiftly responding to complaints and addressing issues like abuse, harassment, and misconduct against women. Their focus is on providing protection, especially for those traveling late at night. Bhubaneswar’s Deputy Commissioner of Police, Prateek Singh, emphasized the importance of women feeling safe and free to move around the city. Since its inception, Team HER has already taken action, registering six cases and initiating measures against the perpetrators. This initiative underscores the commitment of the Commissionerate Police to prioritize women’s safety and create a secure environment in the twin cities.
