Despite police efforts to curb such crimes, burglary incidents continue unabated, occurring almost every alternate day. The recent looting of gold ornaments worth over Rs 10 lakh from an apartment in Raghunathpur area adds to the growing concerns.
Residents express worry over the brazenness of the burglars, with incidents occurring even in the presence of occupants. The frequency of such crimes, including multiple burglaries within days, highlights the urgent need for enhanced security measures and effective policing in the city.
The spate of burglaries in 2023 and the ongoing incidents in 2024 underscore the pressing need for comprehensive measures to safeguard residents and their properties in Bhubaneswar.
