INDIA CONDUCTS SUCCESSFUL NIGHT LAUNCH OF NUCLEAR CAPABLE BALLISTIC ‘AGNI PRIME’ MISSILE FROM ABDUL KALAM ISLAND, ODISHA
India achieved a significant milestone with the successful night launch of the Agni Prime ballistic missile from the Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha. The test-flight, conducted by the Strategic Forces Command (SFC) in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), demonstrated the country’s enhanced strategic deterrence capability. The missile, with a strike range of 1,000 to 2,000 km, met all trial objectives, affirming its reliable performance. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lauded the DRDO, SFC, and armed forces for the successful test flight, emphasizing the missile’s potential as a force multiplier. The launch was witnessed by senior officials, including Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan and Chairman of DRDO Samir V Kamat. India’s continued advancements in missile technology underscore its commitment to bolstering national security and defence preparedness.
