The State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Odisha, Nikunja Bihari Dhal, has advised political parties against large rallies due to heatwave conditions during the nomination filing for the first phase of elections. Female voters outnumber males (31,87,771 vs. 30,96,243) in the four Lok Sabha constituencies. Among the 62,84,649 voters, 635 are transgender. Polling will run from 7 am to 6 pm, except for Left wing extremism-affected areas with reduced hours. Complaints via the C-Vigil app have reached 3,873, mostly about model code violations like posters and banners.
