According to a report by Moneycontrol, India’s Tata Group is actively recruiting semiconductor professionals from Taiwan to enhance the workforce for its upcoming semiconductor foundry in Gujarat and a chip packaging plant in Assam. These initiatives are part of India’s ambitious plans to venture into the global semiconductor manufacturing sector. Tata Electronics recently organized a recruitment event in Hsinchu, targeting Taiwanese professionals with 5 to 16 years of experience in various semiconductor manufacturing roles. The company outlined that selected candidates will undergo 18 months of initial training in Taiwan before transitioning to India. This strategic move reflects Tata Group’s commitment to developing a skilled workforce and fostering technological innovation in India’s semiconductor industry.
